Do you know there are secrets on how to effectively market and sell anything online?
When I was starting out as an online marketer over a year ago – while trying to learn the ropes of how online marketing works…
Things were a bit difficult because there was lots of information all over the place.
Then I came across DotCom Secrets book review as a suggested video while trying to gain new marketing knowledge from one of the top marketers’ YouTube channel. Miles Beckler precisely…
I watched the DotCom Secrets review video – where I learned that the book contains secrets a lot of marketing gurus won’t expose publicly and how anyone could exploit the teachings to grow an online business.
Using sales funnels!
Honestly, I wasn’t sold to it at first.
But what really picked my interest was the fact that it was free and I only had to cover the shipping cost.
That was a kind of two-way investment, and so I thought I really do not have much to lose.
So, I ordered DotCom Secrets…
The rest has been history!
I can’t talk about the successes and positive results I’ve gotten in the online world without making reference and attribution to DotCom Secrets marketing book.
Thanks to Russell Brunson for putting so much work into this sales funnel book!
So, I have taken my time to do a review of this game-changing book – so you’d know what’s all about in detail before ordering your own copy.
Is it really worth it?
It’s left for you to decide after going through this DotCom Secrets review article.

DotCom Secrets Review – Inside view
The Dotcom Secrets is a book split into five sections that walk you through the easy to understand marketing processes.
Section One: Ladders and Funnels
This is the first and its section contains five (5) marketing secrets.
Secret #1: The Secret Formula
Understanding where you want to take your customers and clients is the ultimate key to serving them better and not trying to do the guesswork of where they are and what they truly need.
The secret formula consists of four simple questions that were broken down in step-by-step order inside DotCom Secrets that will help you figure it all out. They are:
- Who are your dream clients?
- How can you find them?
- What bait will you use to attract them?
- What result do you want to give them?
You will get to figure all these out in the first secret.
Secret #2: The Value Ladder
This part is where Russell digs a little deeper and focus on the steps you need to follow to lead your dream customer from taking the “bait” (starting point of your ladder) to the endpoint or preferably where they desire to be.
This is called taking them through your value ladder.
Structuring this right will give you more money and at the same time, you’ll be serving your customers at a much higher-level that solves results.
Secret #3: From A Ladder To A Funnel
You would encounter an epiphany after reading the previous secret (which is just the beginning), this part is where you begin to understand the basics of building out your own sales funnel and the psychology behind a profitable funnel.
It’s not just about what you sell or the amount it’s being sold.
This has to with having a complete value ladder. It’s impossible to build out an effective sales funnel without having your value ladder mapped out.
Your sales funnel is the online process you take someone to get them to through the different steps of your value ladder.
Secret #4: How To Find Your Dream Customers
Here is where you get to find out how to define your target market, find out where they congregate at the moment and how to divert their attention to you and to your sales funnel.
You will see the techniques you can use to get a customer to leave the congregation and check out your page. There are strategies involved in doing this which every online entrepreneur must learn.
Secret #5: The Three Types Of Traffic
Most people don’t really understand how traffic works in the online marketing space. In here Russell Brunson broke it down and explains the best type of traffic that we should focus on how they operate.
- Traffic we control
- The traffic we don’t control
- Traffic we own
Section Two: Your Communication Funnel
This section of the Dotcom Secrets touches more on building an audience using more advanced personal branding tactics and how to effectively communicate with your audience that will lead to a sale.
Crazy section if you ask me…
Secret #6: The Attractive Character
This part explicitly talks on how to build a perfect character and an online following that attract your ideal audience and loyal following of those ready to buy from you.
Russell Brunson went in deeper to define the three components to creating an Attractive Character.
- The Elements
- The Identity
You will see how to build your own AC using these components and their individual elements, identity and the right type stories to communicate with your audience.
Secret #7: The Soap Opera Sequence
This is the continuation of the previous part of Dotcom Secrets. It involves building a bond and a sort of rapport between the Attractive Character and the ideal audience via a traffic source we own. Email.
The Soap Opera Sequence is a series of email sequences that helps to build a quick and instant relationship between you and the person reading your email.
Here Russell shares the EXACT email templates he uses in doing this. 5 of them.
This works in such a way that you have to give them something interesting and hook them with an open storyline from the first email you send, so they will forward to the one, and the next, and the next.
There shouldn’t be any boring moment.
Secret #8: Daily Seinfeld Sequence
As Russell Brunson said; the secret to keeping your subscribers happy to hear from you every day is using the Seinfeld email format.
What’s the Seinfeld format anyway?
It’s a type of email style that doesn’t get your readers annoyed because they would be so entertained that they would buy from you.
It has to do with talking about your life and sharing stories happening with/around you, they are likely to relate with. But with a purpose.
The goal ultimate goal here is to lead people back to whatever you’re selling. Pretty simple and mind-blowing! There are also examples and written templates of Seinfeld emails.
Section Three: Funnelology
This section is all about the strategies behind building funnels and what you really should do to make your funnel work, the fundamentals, phases and the type of pages to use, when and how.
Secret #9: Reverse Engineering A Successful Funnel
This is the ultimate mistake most online businesses do when starting out with their sales funnel. They want to re-invent the whole vehicle.
Here is all about finding other people who already have a successful funnel, selling to the exact target audience you also want to sell to. Find out the:
- Traffic sources
- Landing page
- Ad copy and copies
You will see how to reverse all this stuff and get them working for your good. We call this Funnel hacking, Offer to hack. Whatever!
This is fun though when you learn it and begin to apply it.
Secret #10: Seven Phases Of A Funnel
I didn’t actually understand nor knew what the phases of a successful funnel were, not until after I read and pondered over this sentence within this part of DotCom Secrets. It says:
The real difference between having a six-, seven-, or even eight-figure business is whether you understand the phases of a funnel and can successfully monetize the points along the line.
This was the part I understood that there are levels of traffic temperature and they should never be treated the same along our funnel process. Understanding this concept will enable you to create the right type of page, offer, and traffic that qualifies.
I didn’t also forget the pre-framing aspect which is very critical for you to understand before the funnel phases so visitors can know and trust you even more.
Secret #11: The Twenty-Three Building Blocks Of A Funnel
This chapter of DotCom Secrets reviews the type of webpages you can use for four out of the funnel building phases in the previous chapter.
It shows you the twenty-three of the most effective building blocks for your sales funnels. These blocks are often used at specific times during these same four phases:
- Pre-frame bridge
- Qualifying subscribers
- Qualifying buyers
- Identifying hyperactive buyers for your products and services.
You’ll get to see the awesome ways that work which you can use in achieving all these. Then you can choose which you want to try first and discover the ones that work best in your market.
Secret #12: Frontend vs. Backend Funnels
Most people do not actually know the type of funnels they should build and drive traffic to, and the ones that is supposed to be shown only to qualified buyers (at the backend). Very tiny but huge mistake!
Here Russell discusses the type of funnels he uses on the frontend of his value ladders, the ones used in the middle, and those used for the backend offers.
Secret #13: The Best Bait
My mind was blown here! This is where Russell gave out a hot sauce that made all his books sold millions. I mean if you can order your free copy of DotCom Secrets and study the funnel steps, you’ll understand the secret behind these records.
You will see how using a SINGLE WORD can change your entire business magically.
No matter the industry you serve, what you do, what you sell, or mode of business. This is a part that some of the successful entrepreneurs wouldn’t want you to discover.
Section Four: Funnels And Scripts
This part is a bit different than other sections in this DotCom Secrets book review. Because Russell Brunson dives in to show you the core funnels he uses in his business and companies, as well as the exact scripts he uses to sell each of his products.
And these are divided into the Frontend, Middle, and Backend Funnels. One of the best parts of all this funnel stuff is that you can easily put them up using ClickFunnels software.
#1 Frontend Funnel: Two-Step – Free Plus Shipping
An example of this is the DotCom Secrets Book Funnel. The Two-Step funnel is very simple in nature and works well for Free Plus Shipping offers.
it comprises of the first page which has a video with the Who, What, Why and How script which pre-frames the visitor then the page asks them where the product should be shipped.
Then the second page (step-two) asks for their credit card information for the shipping and handling charge. After the visitor might have filled out the second page – there comes your One-time-offer.
You will also get all the understanding behind this insane concept and also the scripts you will use to make this whole 2-step free shipping funnel work.
#2 Frontend Funnel: Self-Liquidating Offer
SLOs are offers that you set up for the sole purpose of helping you breakeven and cover the money you spent to acquire that lead. According to Autogrow:
Self-Liquidating Offer is something that generates an email opt-in, lead, or purchase, while simultaneously offsetting (or completely negating) the cost of advertising.
In this part, Russell Brunson breaks down the mechanics involved in this type of funnel. And he even introduced a script called the Star, Story, Solution script which helps to introduce a cold lead to your products.
You’ll also have these scripts which are forty-four (44) in number.
#3 Frontend Funnel: Continuity
This is another type of frontend funnel that Russell explains how you can utilize to entice visitors and let them keep paying for a longer time. There are also a few ways you can use this and increase the success rate.
#4 Middle Funnel: Perfect Webinar
The perfect webinar is the first funnel for the middle of the value ladder which dives in deep on how to exploit live or recorded presentations to sell your products or services on autopilot using the techniques and scripts Russell gives us inside Dot Com Secrets buku.
Over the years, I have seen a lot of great marketers deploy the Perfect Webinar strategies and it works wonders.
Here is a free Perfect Webinar script you can check out too.
#5 Middle Funnel: Invisible Perfect Webinar
This works just like the Perfect Webinar Funnel but it is not free. I will say it is a premium version of Perfect Webinar Funnel and looks more advanced.
You’ll also see the scripts in action.
#6 Middle Funnel: Product Launch
Just as the name sounds, this a type of funnel you can use to launch your product using a series of videos to provide tons of value to your visitors.
These videos would have their own elements that instigate actions, plus you also see how to structure these videos in Dotcom Secrets.
#7 Backend Funnel: High-Ticket, Three-Step Application
In this part, you will learn how to sell your high-ticket offers using an advanced formula and scripts. This funnel is useful for acquiring coaching and mastermind clients.
Section Five: ClickFunnels
This chapter of Dotcom Secrets all has to do with putting all that you’ve learned in the above chapters into action using ClickFunnels.
Even though there are other tools out there that you can use to implement everything inside Dotcom Secrets, ClickFunnels still remains a beastly platform for all these.
You can read the ClickFunnels review here.
Being the last chapter Russell reviews and reveals what ClickFunnels actually does and that rounds up the entire book.
Pricing – How Much is Dotcom Secrets Book?
DotCom Secrets is actually free when you choose to order it from the official website, but you only have to pay for shipping/handling to receive it wherever you are in the world. So, you’ll be billed $7.95 if you reside within the US or $14.95 for international.
That’s the Free Plus Shipping offer in play. Haha. And a more reason why you should go through that funnel to see how it works.
Or maybe you prefer to buy it from Amazon, then you can get the paperback format for $14.80.

What are the Upsells inside the Dotcom Secrets Funnel?
The first upsell in the Dotcom Secrets Funnel is a bump offer called the Dotcom Secrets Blackbox that gives you some goodies that’ll aid your online business. As part of this offer, you will also get the popular Expert Secrets book.
Another upsell is the Audio version of Dotcom Secrets which I think quite cool, especially for those always on the go.
Is there a PDF version of DotCom Secrets?
There is no PDF version available anywhere that I know of unless you get PDF summary of the entire book from some who have gone through the entire book itself.
How about the Dotcom Secrets Audiobook?
The Dotcom Secrets audio version is only available inside the funnel as an upsell (either as a downloadable version or in an mp3 player), and it’s best if you’re the type that prefers listening to audios while going about your other duties. I wish I had it when I first ordered the book.
I don’t have time to read the book, can I get the summary?
Oh yes, having gone through the entire book back and forth I have taken notes while reading it and it comprises of my own summarized version of this book which I recently started using as a reference.
Since this is my personal stuff, and I wouldn’t want to give it out on a platter…
When you order Dotcom Secrets right from this page (I get $1 commission at no expense to you), I will send you my own summary of Dotcom Secrets in a PDF format.
And you can use it any way you want. Meaning I will also give you the white-label rights (worth $197). When you do, use my contact form and let me know you did use my link. But this is limited though.
In my opinion, this is the best marketing and sales funnel book I’ve ever come across since my tiny years of coming into the online marketing realm.
I couldn’t talk a lot in this Dotcom Secrets review because there are lots more strategies and things that’ll blow your mind when you go through it yourself.
I was soo overwhelmed when I read it the first time (that I didn’t do much), then after some months I had to go back to it and started implementing what’s in it in some part of my business.
And at the same time writing this review.
