It seems like every other blog post written recently is about AI copywriting tools of which Jasper AI  and Copysmith AI are two of the best ones.

These tools are the latest buzz in the marketing tech industry, but what’s the actual difference between Jasper AI and Copysmith?

I tested them out to see which tool is better.

This article highlights the premium features of both tools, including their pros and cons, to help you decide which of them is better.

What is Copysmith? (Overview)

copysmith

Copysmith is a highly sophisticated copywriting software that assists in writing efficient copy within seconds.

This software uses advanced GPT-3 Artificial Intelligence to generate high-caliber content.

It can be used to refine or develop content for affiliate marketers, bloggers, copywriters, social media influencers, and many more!

CopySmith was founded in October 2020 by AI and copywriting experts Anna and Jasmine Wang.

It’s a product of their in-house patented software and the GPT-3 artificial intelligence.

Copysmith AI is capable of many amazing things, but here is a list of some of its main features:

  • Content creation (blog post intro, social media captions, Instagram ads, product descriptions, taglines, landing pages, google ads, SEO metatags, and pretty much any form of written content)
  • Conversion of bullet points to engaging paragraphs
  • Content creation in multiple languages

The best part is that everything generated by this mind-blowing copywriting tool is plagiarism-free and will pass major plagiarism checkers.

What is Jasper AI (Jarvis AI)?

Jarvis AI, now known as Jasper AI is another copywriting tool just like Copysmith AI. It is an AI-powered software that helps content creators generate top-tier copy that sends their conversion rates through the roof.

It also uses the AI engine and NLP technology stack known as GPT-3 technology and other frameworks.

For the sake of this review, I interchanged between Jasper AI and Jarvis AI – both are referring to the same tool.

UseProof created Jasper AI with the support of OpenAI, an artificial intelligence research company, and deployment laboratory.

Jasper AI (review link) is a product of the company’s mission to create better language models using deep learning machine language.

Jasper AI key features are pretty similar to those of Copysmith. Here’s a list of them:

  1. Content generation (email ads, copy, landing pages, blog posts, SEO metatags, and Instagram ads).
  2. Content improvement: Jarvis AI generates content from templates; it also improves the tone and writing style of already-generated content.
  3. Content creation in multiple languages

1. AI Platform

It’s no news that Copysmith.ai and Jasper AI are AI-powered copywriting software taking the writing universe by storm.

While these super tools are different in multiple sectors, they both operate with Generative Pre-Trained Transformer 3 (GPT-3) technology.

Speaking of the GPT-3 technology, it has been described as the future of AI text generation, and why not?

This AI language generator created by OpenAI has proven to be quite impressive in its ability to convert a wide range of content and in multiple languages too.

Moreover, it is an upgrade to GPT-2, a language generation model halted because it created good but fake content.

This major flaw has been corrected in GPT-3, which also boasts 175 billion parameters compared to GPT -2’s meager 1.5 billion, making it the most powerful language generator in the world.

Therefore, it is no surprise that major adopters of this tech, Copysmith.ai and Jasper AI, are at the top of the AI content generation food chain.

In addition to GPT-3 technology, Jasper AI features a unique AI system that gives it an edge over Copysmith.

This AI component is known as the Jasper command, and it lets users directly command the tool to create content instead of inputting a set of template words.

For example, a user can create Instagram ads with Jasper command by typing something like “Jasper, write an Instagram ad for my fashion brand.”

Winner: Jasper AI takes the lead here. The Jasper Command is still an extra feature worth paying for.

2. User Interface

Copysmith’s user interface comes in a well-laid-out format that makes it easy to navigate on mobile devices and desktops.

In addition, its user-friendly interface features options for creating multiple folders and accessing multiple templates, tutorials, files, and news updates.

Jasper AI equally features a simple yet professional user interface.

It is accessible by anyone, including first-time users, and features templates that assist in the content creation process.

Jasper AI’s superior features and overall better user experience make it arguably the best of the two for user interface and experience.

Winner: It’s a tie, both have user-friendly interfaces.

3. Languages

Copysmith can create content in over 100 languages, while Jasper AI supports only a little over 25 languages (including English, Portuguese, Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Russian, Italian, Dutch, Chinese, and Polish). So it’s pretty apparent the better software in this sector.

Winner: Copysmith wins here.

4. Plagiarism Checks Included

Copysmith takes the front row when it comes to Plagiarism checks.

Its Starter plan offers 20 checks per month, the Professional program, 100 checks, and the Enterprise Custom, unlimited checks.

On the other hand, Jasper.ai doesn’t feature any plagiarism checks, but this might be a display of confidence in its ability to create non-plagiarized content.

Since using Jasper AI to create content for a site of mine, it has never failed any plagiarism checks.

The content is original and not a product of web scraping.

Winner: It’s a win for Copysmith because it offers an inbuilt plagiarism checker tool.

No matter how original AI-generated content is, you still need to cross-check with a plagiarism checker. So a win for Copysmith.

5. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

As content marketers, we know the importance of search engine optimization (SEO) in driving traffic and leads to our website.

I guess you are wondering if these tools optimize content for search engines?

Interestingly, both tools optimize for search engines in their unique ways.

Copysmith integrates with Frase.io (content optimization tool), to optimize your content.

With Frase.io, you can find related keywords and also optimize for topical relevance. According to Copysmith, this integration is for a limited time (but we have no idea how long).

In contrast, Jasper AI features a unique SEO Mode that helps users generate SEO-optimized content automatically, courtesy of its integration with the content Intelligence tool, SurferSEO.

Winner: It’s difficult to decide – a tie, I guess.

Frase.io and Surfer SEO are the two most popular content optimization tools in the industry so it’s difficult to select which software does better.

Besides, it’s not that both tools do a complete job, you still have to optimize your content to your taste.

6. API and Webhooks

Webhooks and APIs are gaining traction on the web because of their data transfer potential. But unfortunately, Copysmith and Jasper AI do not support these features.

Winner: A sad tie. Both Jasper and Copysmith lack an API.

7. Content Types and Lengths

Jasper AI and Copysmith.ai create short-form content (social media captions, Instagram ads, slogans) and long-form content (emails, blog posts, landing pages).

However, there are some technicalities to note. Jarvis creates better long-form content, but only users on Pro and Boss Mode packages have access to it.

Copysmith.ai is still in beta testing when it comes to long-form content, which gives Jasper AI an edge.

It is also important to note that Copysmith’s starter plan comes with only 50 credits, which is about only about 65,000 words.

Users can work on unlimited words with higher payment plans.

All the plans on Jasper.ai supported unlimited words.

Winner: Jasper beats Copysmith with its long-form assistance feature that creates long-form content. A rare feature on many other copywriting tools.

8. Third-Party Integrations

Copysmith supports integration into third-party apps, which means it can automatically function on other writing tools and apps like Shopify and Google Ads without you having to open the app itself.

It also integrates with Frase.io.

However, this feature is only available on the Professional and Enterprise Custom payment plans, and it is only in its beta testing phase.

Jasper AI also supports third-party integrations but is limited to Surfer SEO and Shopify.

Winner: Copysmith offers more and better integrations than Jasper. It’s a win for Copysmith.

9. Chrome Extension

Both Copysmith AI and Jasper AI support Chrome Extensions, which is quite impressive and similar to the mode of operation of other writing tools like Grammarly.

Winner: It’s a tie.

10. Jasper vs Copysmith – Framework

Before diving into the framework dynamics of both copywriting tools, let’s shed some light on what frameworks are.

Think of frameworks as algorithms or processes that control how written content is created. Some of the most common frameworks include AIDA, QUEST, FAB, and PAS – they are all abbreviations of sets of rules.

Frameworks are applied all the time by copywriters and content creators, but thanks to advancements in technology, they have now been integrated into copywriting tools like Copysmith.ai and Jasper.ai.

The AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) framework is one of the most popular and effective copywriting techniques out there, which is why both Copysmith.ai and Jasper.ai incorporate it.

Its purpose is to create instant awareness (Attention), tickle the audience’s fancy (Interest), make them want its content (Desire), and propel them to buy or patronize (Action).

Winner: It’s a tie for both tools.

11. Reviews and Rating

Finally, I took a look at the reviews of both tools in the marketing space – how others perceive both AI tools.

For Jasper AI, it has more positive reviews and better ratings compared to Copysmith.

On Trustpilot, Jarvis has 773 reviews and a rating of 4.9/5.0 – nothing but excellent.

Copysmith has just 2 reviews and a rating of 3.3 – quite poor and the number of reviews is very too small to be sure of others’ opinions.

Jasper rating on Trustpilot:

Copysmith rating on Trustpilot:

On ProductHunt, Jasper has 23 reviews and a rating of 4.6/5.0 –  few reviews but an excellent rating. In contrast, Copysmith has 14 reviews and a rating of 4.0/5.0.

Jasper rating on Product Hunt:

Copysmith rating on Product Hunt:

Finally, on G2, Jasper has 314 reviews and a rating of 4.9/5.0 and for Copysmith, it has just one review with a rating of 4.0/5.0.

Jasper on G2:

Copysmith on G2:

As seen in the reviews and ratings above, Jasper AI wins!

Winner: A clear win for Jasper AI. On all third-party review sites, Jasper has better ratings and reviews.

12. Customer Support and Community

As with every other software solution, there’s a tendency to encounter a technical problem when using the software.

Or perhaps need assistance with using a tool better.

You should know whether or not the support system of a company you’re considering is adequate for future needs. Hence, a criterion worth checking on Jasper and Copysmith.

For starters, Jasper and Copysmith offer help centers and Facebook groups for their users to interact with one another and find solutions to problems.

Copysmith Facebook group has 2.4k members while Jasper AI Facebook group has 34.5k members.

A large Facebook community says a lot about Jasper AI.

Anyway, it lacks a live chat option which is present on Copysmith’s homepage.

But that’s the farthest Copysmith goes in terms of support.

On the other hand, Jasper AI takes it further by providing live training for its users alongside a Bootcamp (same as a course) that breaks down how to use Jasper AI alongside tips and tricks.

Winner: Jasper is an obvious winner here. While it lacks a live chat feature, it compensates with lots of free resources to its users.

Jasper AI vs Copysmith AI – Example

To make a fair judgment, I analyzed both tools by using them to create a copy on a dating app, Tinder.

Using similar descriptions for both tools, here are the outputs of these tools.

Jasper AI Output:

  • Are you tired of spending forever swiping and scrolling? Get out of the library, hit up some spots, and get your swipe on with Tinder. Swipe left if they don’t fit what you’re looking for, or right to show them that they caught your eye. With so many eligible singles in your area, tinder helps make it easy to find love. Start swiping today!
  • If you’re over handing your dryer sheets to a complete stranger with a shirt-sleeve chuckle as an introduction, then Tinder is for you.
  • Online dating has never been this easy and playful! With Tinder, they’ll date their way till they find the person that is perfect for them. Our app starts a conversation with someone new every 8 minutes- so swipe on to explore people nearby who are looking for dates, love, or friends.”

My Opinion:

This is an excellent product intro that I would pay a writer to work on.

The use of storytelling was perfectly executed in the content above. Also, it passed the plagiarism check. Rating – 8/10

Copysmith’s Output:

  • Tinder is a fast growing online dating app. It’s not just for singles anymore. In fact, it’s probably best not to think of it as an online dating site, but as a social discovery tool that helps you mingle with others in your area.
  • The Tinder dating app has exploded in popularity over the past couple years. It’s one of the fastest growing social apps of all time, with 50 million users and counting. What’s the appeal of the Tinder app? It’s free, it’s easy to use, it’s relatively low-risk (assuming you follow the rules), and it has the potential to have a big payoff — a hot date or even a relationship.
  • Dating app is a popular way to find love and Tinder is one of the most popular dating apps in the world. With over 50 million users around the globe, Tinder allows people to quickly connect with new and nearby matches. It’s as easy as swipe right if you like the look of someone and swipe left if you don’t.”

My Opinion:

This also blew me away. The intro is a good one and something I’d pay a writer as well. Rating – 7/10

Concluding Opinion –  In terms of output, both tools are faring well and it shouldn’t come as a surprise because both tools are using the same technology, GPT-3.

However, in terms of user experience, it’s Jasper AI over Copysmith.
